Our familiar slogan—Change, not charity—reflects both our mission and our optimism that by partnering with grassroots organizations which have adopted creative, sometimes non-traditional, approaches to the problems we all see, we can help to make our community a better, fairer, safer place to live and work. It’s another version of “Think globally, act locally.” As individuals, we may not be able to solve the problems of the world, but working together, we can—and do—affect profound change within our own region.

TRCF raises money in two ways:

• an annual appeal, which this year will support grantmaking as well as TRCF’s own minimal operating costs, and

• an endowment, which will increase TRCF’s annual grantmaking potential and assure that our shared work will continue into the next generation.

TRCF is also a Contributor's Choice Agency with the United Way of Allegheny County, so individuals can contribute via participating workplaces.  Our Agency Number is 962105.

Individuals play an important role in this partnership. Each gift—large or small—combined with gifts from others in the community, can make big things happen.
